I have done nothing with the main disk, after deleting the partitions and recovering the data with DDRescue-GUI. NTFS Partition Recovery Disk Drill can recover your data from a formatted or deleted NTFS partition. Scroll through the list and select the file that you want to recover. Then I found Testdisk and now that program is trying to read that *.img, which put out a lot of 'invalid FAT boot sector' messages. TestDisk will now show all the deleted files on your selected partition. So I mounted it successfully with Disks Utility, but I did not have succes in reading that *.img-file. ![]() Next I tried to mount and read that *.img by DDRescue-GUI and unpack it on another 2TB HDD (Samsung2TB), but it was unable to mount it. After installing Mint on a 2TB HDD (WD2TB), I found DDRescue-GUI, with which I created a full 1TB *.img from my main disk. So I went on a new journey on how to recover data. So, I deleted first my back up, forgot that and deleted also my main disk and then remembered that I already had deleted my backup. Because just before that I had a copy of my files also on another disk (640GB HDD), but I forgot that I already had (just) deleted these files on that HDD. TestDisk is a free, open-source data recovery software tool that is designed to recover lost partitions and make non-booting disks bootable again. In order to rearrange multiple OS' (M20C, W10-64b, Ubuntu Studio), I was to eager in deleting the partition on my main 'disk', a 1TB Samsung 970 Evon Plus.
